Pétur Thompsen

Thomsen studied art history and archeology at the Université Paul Valéry Montpellier III, photography at École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques and at École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP), Arles. Thomsen´s photography depicts the Icelandic landscape by following straight compositional rules. In most of his images the landscape fills the entire photograph, giving the elements depicted a graphic quality – in the sense of a specific rhythm in the image.
