Kaj Duncan David is a British/Danish composer, performer and curator working with mixed media and exploring various intersections between instrumental, electronic, audiovisual and installatory forms. His recent output often incorporates light and/or video, sometimes explores concrete/everyday situations and increasingly aspires to scenic composition.

He has studied music and sound art at Goldsmiths College in London (2006-09) and composition with Simon Steen-Andersen in Aarhus (2011-13) and Manos Tsangaris and Franz Martin Olbrisch in Dresden (ongoing).

Performances at festivals such as Maerzmusik (Berlin), Rainy Days (Luxembourg), Klangwerkstatt (Berlin), Ultima (Oslo), Darmstädter Ferienkürse für Neue Musik (Germany), Klang (Copenhagen), Spor (Aarhus), NextFest (Canada), Collision (London), with ensembles such as Lucilin (Lu), Aksiom (No), Pärlor för Svin (Se), Curious Chamber Players (Se), Mimitabu (Se) and ensemble recherche (De).

Kaj is also active as a performer and improvisor and as a curator of concerts and events, mainly in Denmark. He sits on the boards of Aarhus Unge Tonekunstnere (an artist-led organization promoting new music and sound art in Denmark) and Ung Nordisk Musik Danmark (a pan-Nordic festival organization).
