Jeannette Castioni | Þuríður Jónsdóttir
Jeannette Castioni (b. 1968) was born in Italy and now lives in Reykjavík. She studied at the Iceland Academy of the Arts and Fine Arts at Goldsmiths College in London. Jeannette conducts workshops and seminars both in institutions and with various groups in Europe and London. She collaborates with international cultural mobility programs and has received various awards and prizes for her work.
Þuríður Jónsdóttir, composer, studied flute and composition at The Reykjavik College of Music and at the Conservatory of Music in Bologna, Italy where she received her diploma in flute, composition and electronic music. After living and working in Italy for years, Þuríður now works and lives in Reykjavík. She explores new soundscapes in her compositions, creating various types of both orchestral pieces and chamber music.
